Berti Berti Products

Berti Pavimenti Legno has been producing wood floors in the Veneto region of Italy since the day Cesare Berti bought his first log band saw in 1950.

Today Berti's prestigious tradition, innovative manufacturing methods, and consistent product quality all make the company a reference point for wood floors worldwide. While the Berti company is synonymous with the state of the art of the industry, it is the company's values and passion for it's art that have made it what it is today.

Berti's vast product line up includes the absolute finest engineered wood plank products in the world, and their stunning Intarsio line - laser inlays that are truly fit for royalty, having been utilized by governments around the world in timeless spaces such as The Royal Palace of Kuwait, The Kremlin in Moscow, and Windsor Castle in London.

Betri's engineered plank is available in a wide range of widths and offered in 2 different finishes - Prefiniti and Antico.

The Prefiniti finish is achieved through a revolutionary method called curtain coating - a process in which each individual plank is run through a carefully monitored water fall of specially developed water based polyurethane at a high speed. This process creates a perfectly smooth and equally distributed satin finish.

The material is then immediately ran under a series of high powered UV lights which bake and dry the finish. After that the material is milled with a series of diamond saws, giving it a perfect square edge.

The Antico finish features wire brushing and a lower gloss level, reminiscent of traditional European oil finishes. This finish is also a water based polyurethane, but is not applied with he curtain coating method, as the finish would then fill the texture left behind by the wire brushing thus negating the antique look it achieves. The Antico finish is also milled after finishing by diamond saws, giving it a perfect square edge.

The act of milling these product with such high precision saws after finishing gives this prefinished wood floor the look of a site finished floor - a process pioneered by the Berti company.

Berti's species offerings include:
Acero (Canadian Maple), Cabreuva Incienso (Brown Santos Mahogany), Cabreuva Vermelha (Red Santos Mahogany), Afromosia, Ciliegio (American Cherry), Doussie, Iroko, Noce (European Walnut), Olivo (Olive Wood), Panga, Rovere (French Oak) and Teak.
